Catalan Dragons forward Olivier Elima has been ruled out of action for around four months due to an arm injury.
The 29-year-old suffered a rupture to a biceps tendon during the 28-8 defeat to Hull at the KC Stadium on Sunday and requires an operation.
The France captain, who has left the team's Manchester training camp, joins Scott Dureau and Brent Webb on the Perpignan outfit's long-term injury list.
Coach Laurent Frayssinous said: "The Olivier Elima injury is another bit of really bad news.
"He is one of the leaders in the team and it's obviously a big loss for us. But this new long-term absence must be an opportunity for the young players who deserve to play in Super League."
Half-back Thomas Bosc, winger Damien Blanch and centre Daryl Millard all joined up with the Dragons at their Manchester base on Sunday night after missing the Hull game through injury and are expected to face St Helens at Langtree Park on Friday.
