Salford City Reds have signed back-row forward Jon Molloy from Huddersfield Giants on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old joined Huddersfield from Wigan's academy three years ago but has spent the off-season recovering from injury.
Molloy met up with his new team-mates at the National Cycling Centre in the Manchester Velodrome, where the squad were training under the direction of Team GB cycling coaches.
"I'm about three weeks away from fitness and raring to go," Molloy told the club's official website.
"This is an exciting club going places and I am happy to be a part of the future here."
Salford are bottom of the Super League table after losing 38-4 at home to fellow strugglers London Broncos on Friday, with head coach Phil Veivers sacked in the wake of that defeat.
Reds were take over by millionaire racehorse owner Dr Marwan Koukash in January and recently failed in a high-profile bid to tempt Wigan star Sam Tomkins to the Salford City Stadium.
