Scott Dureau: required operation to remove tumour from behind eye
Catalan Dragons scrum half Scott Dureau is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour behind his eye.
The operation in Australia went well and the tumour was removed without any complications.
"It's obviously a really bad news that affects the club in its entirety but we need to be united and strong and overcome that as a team," head coach Laurent Frayssinous told the club's official website.
"Scott must focus on his health and on his full recovery. We want to express our support to Scott and his family."
Dureau joined the Perpignan-based club from NRL team Newcastle Knights in 2011 and was included in the Super League Dream Teams for that year and 2012.
