Former Great Britain international Stuart Reardon has signed for Championship One club North Wales Crusaders.

The 30-year-old won five caps playing for Great Britain, scoring four tries in the 2004 Tri-Nations Series.

Reardon also won two Grand Finals and the Challenge Cup with the Bradford Bulls, lifting the Harry Sunderland trophy as man of the match in their 25-12 victory over Wigan at Old Trafford in 2003.

The ex-Warrington and Hull FC winger played for the old Crusaders club at the Racecourse Ground before they pulled out of Super League at the end of the 2011 season before spending last season with French club Carcassonne.

"I had offers from some top Championship clubs but this just ticks all the boxes for what I want to achieve right now."

"I'm really exciting about coming back to North Wales," Reardon said. "I had a fantastic time when I was here previously and can't wait to get back out on the pitch and in front of the fans.

"I had offers from some top Championship clubs but this just ticks all the boxes for what I want to achieve right now."

Coup

Crusaders coach Clive Griffiths hailed Reardon's capture and believes his experience will help the club's younger players.

"This is a massive coup for us," he said.

"Obviously to get someone of Stuart's quality is a huge boost for the club and getting the benefit of his experience will rub off on the younger lads.

"There aren't many Championship One clubs who will be able to boast a Grand Final winner and GB international in their ranks."
