Thomas Coyle: Injury nightmare
Widnes Vikings have released Thomas Coyle, after the scrum-half missed the entire 2012 Super League season through injury.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Vikings ahead of their 2010 Championship campaign, was an ever-present in 2011 and was given a full-time contract when the club returned to the top flight one year ago.
Coyle suffered a compound fracture of his left tibia and fibula during an Under-20s game in February this year.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "On behalf of the club and its members and supporters, I would like to thank Thomas for his time, effort and energies spent in a Vikings shirt.
"Whilst doing so, I would also like to wish him the best of luck for his future."
