Playmaker looking to put things right against Vikings

Huddersfield Giants playmaker Danny Brough is confident Nathan Brown's men will turn around their current Stobart Super League slump. The Giants have slipped from top spot to fourth following league defeats to the Catalan Dragons, Wigan Warriors and Salford City Reds. Brough admits the loss to the City Reds hit the team hard and that they are looking to make amends in Sunday's clash against strugglers Widnes Vikings. Huddersfield are now six points behind leaders Wigan with a game in hand and Brough insists no one at the club is panicking over their slide.

No panic

"The criticism was rightly so," Brough told the Huddersfield Examiner. "Little things we got wrong again against Salford killed us, but we're not bothered what goes in the papers. "I don't think we performed on the night against Wigan the week before and we were beaten by a better side. "We know ourselves we were disappointed with the Wigan game, and we were even more disappointed against Salford. "We just need to get back up and try to keep winning. But there's certainly no case of panic stations. "We're sitting fourth in Super League, we're in the Challenge Cup semi-finals and we're pretty happy where we are, just not where we're going. We've got to fix that up ourselves, and we will."
