Black and Whites forward considering his future

Hull FC second row Danny Tickle insists he will take his time deciding whether to sign a contract extension at the KC Stadium. The club's long-serving forward is contracted through the 2013 season, although the club are understood to be keen to secure him for an additional two years. The 29-year-old admits the Black and Whites' early move to resolve his future came as a 'surprise' and he is now considering whether to put pen-to-paper.

Grateful

"I'm out of contract next year, not this year and because of that I am really grateful the club have come to me now to offer me a new contract," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "I wouldn't say it was a shock, but it was a bit of a surprise. I am really grateful for the offer they have given me and it is something I really need to think about. "I need to speak to my family and my manager and it is not one of those things that you just rip into. I'll consider it, but I'm grateful for the offer of an extension."
