Broncos skipper eager to impress in Kent

Craig Gower is hoping the London Broncos hit top form when they tackle Hull FC in the first-ever match to be held in Kent. The Broncos travel to Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium in two weeks' time to welcome the East Yorkshire club hoping to showcase their quality to an array of new fans. London have reached the quarter-finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup, although it was been a disappointing season for Rob Powell's men so far with just two Super League wins from 12. The former Australia international knows the team can step things up and he is hoping they will be firing on all cylinders for when they host the Black and Whites in their temporary surroundings.

Springboard

"We hope to be a lot better than where we are at the moment!" he told Gillingham's official website. "We need to perform well and hopefully that can springboard us on to better things. Hopefully leading up to this game we are better off and pushing for that top eight. "I think it's more mental, having the right attitude and having 17 players ready to play for 80 minutes week in, week out and I think that's where we have lacked so far. "Every game is pretty tricky, you have to prepare well and that's something we will need to do. We are playing against Hull FC and they beat us up there so we need to give one back."
