Mason: Penned new long term contract at Huddersfield
Huddersfield have been handed a boost with the news prop Keith Mason has signed a long-term deal with the club.
The 29-year-old is set to finish his career at the Galpharm Stadium after signing a contract which will take him to the end of the 2015 season.
The former Wakefield and St Helens forward has made 117 appearances for the Giants since joining them from Castleford five years ago.
Mason, who is currently on the sidelines with a knee injury, is delighted to secure his long-term future.
"I am very thankful for the club's faith in me and I'm planning to reward them with some good years ahead."

He said: "I am very thankful for the club's faith in me and I'm planning to reward them with some good years ahead.
"There is a good nucleus of us on long-term deals and it is exciting to be around quality players going forward as we strive to be successful."
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown added: "It is good news for the Giants. Keith is a good hard-working player and that is something we have based ourselves on here over the last few years.
"In my time at the club Keith has always played an important role in the team and, with the little additions he has brought to his game, he is definitely playing his best footy."
Mason is the second Huddersfield player to renew his commitment to the club recently after hooker Shaun Lunt last week signed a new deal taking him to the end of the 2015 season.
Brown's three-year contract runs out at the end of the season and he is expected to make a decision on his future in the next seven days amid rumours that he is set to return to Australia.
