Tansey: Joining Crusaders
Former Leeds and Hull utility back Jordan Tansey has been thrown a Super League lifeline by the Crusaders.
The 24-year-old was sacked by Hull following a third breach of club discipline in 12 months.
Tansey has remained in the game with Dewsbury after joining the Championship club on a weekly contract.
However bottom-of-the-table Crusaders have now agreed an 18-month contract to bring Tansey back to the Super League.
And coach Iestyn Harris delighted to have brought in a player who has scored 32 tries in 81 Super League appearances.
"I'm thrilled to sign a player of Jordan's undoubted quality," Harris said.
"He has played at the highest level in both Super League and the NRL and I believe we have signed a top quality player.
"Jordan is a very versatile player. He can play pretty much anywhere across the backline, as well as hooker, and he adds real class to this squad.
"He's a very skilful player that will give our attacking game that extra bit of potency. He wants to get back to playing at the highest level and showing everyone what a great player he is."
