Moore: Makes Wakefield exit
Richard Moore has been released by Wakefield, while the Wildcats have also cancelled the contract of new signing Jessie Joe Parker.
Prop forward Moore played for four seasons at Wakefield following his move from Leigh in 2007, which came after previous spells with Bradford and London Broncos.
It is now thought that the 29-year-old will stay in the Super League by joining Welsh outfit Crusaders.
"We wish Richard all the best in his future career and thank him for his time here at the Wildcats," Wakefield chief executive James Elston said.
"Allowing him to leave gives us room within our salary cap to bring in new players. We are currently active in recruitment both in England and the NRL."
The signing of Papua New Guinea international Parker was announced in September but has been held up by issues with red tape and Wakefield say the deadline for his arrival has now passed.
"When Jessie Joe was recruited, there was a timescale to his arrival here at Wakefield," Elston added.
"Owing to administrative problems, he was unable to meet that timescale and therefore will not be joining the club. We wish Jessie Joe every success in the future."
Parker scored 17 tries in 15 games for Featherstone last season before playing in all three matches for the Kumuls in the Four Nations Series.
