Coach McCormack includes Edinburgh Eagles pair in party

Danny Brough is one of six engage Super League players to be included in Scotland's 30-man squad for the Alitalia European Cup. Huddersfield half-back Brough captained the Scots in the 2008 World Cup before then switching his allegiance to England. However he has since had a change of heart, allowing Scotland coach Steve McCormack to pick him for the games against Wales, Ireland and France. Harlequins prop forward Oliver Wilkes, Bradford centre Joe Wardle, Wakefield second-rowers Dale Ferguson, who makes his debut, and Kevin Henderson and Hull KR hooker Ben Fisher are also named in the party. "The presence of six Super League stars will certainly bolster our bid to bring the Alitalia European Cup to Scotland but we've named a lot of talented individuals that all bring defensive grit and attacking flair to the side," McCormack said. "I'm genuinely excited by the potential of this squad." There are places for Craig Borthwick and Giles Lomax, who both ply their trade for amateur club Edinburgh Eagles, while Sheffield Eagles provide five members of McCormack's squad.
