Full-back Jordan Tansey has been dropped by Hull FC for Friday's home game against Harlequins due to disciplinary reasons.
The former Leeds utility player, who joined Hull from Sydney Roosters on a two-year deal last June, made an impressive start to the season, delivering a notable display in Hull's defeat against Crusaders last week.
The club's decision follows the introduction of a strict new code of conduct this season, although no details of the breach have been disclosed.
"Jordan Tansey is not available for selection for this week's game due to an internal disciplinary matter," said a statement issued by the club.
"He will be available for next week's game against Castleford Tigers on Friday 5th March at the KC Stadium. The club or player will not make any further comment on this matter."
Dropped
Tansey is the third player to be suspended by Hull in the last six months after hooker Tommy Lee and second rower Mike Burnett were dropped for disciplinary reasons in August.
Lee has since been released and has joined Crusaders, while Burnett is back in favour, but will make way for Danny Tickle on Saturday when he returns from injury.
Tansey's omission from the squad could mean a Hull debut for close-season signing Jordan Turner.
