Wigan Warriors have agreed to loan three of their promising youngsters to Championship club Widnes Vikings. Winger Shaun Ainscough, 20, who burst onto the scene with 17 tries in 12 appearances for the Warriors last season, joins the Vikings as part of their dual registration quota for 2010, together with 19-year-old loose forward Liam Farrell. Also making the move to the Stobart Stadium is Ben Davies, a 20-year-old prop, who joins the Vikings on a three-month loan. "All three of these lads are the type of quality British players we are looking to see play and nurture here at the Vikings," said Widnes sporting director and former Wigan prop Terry O'Connor. "This arrangement between the clubs will strengthen the Vikings' 2010 playing squad and allow the talented young Wigan players to experience some regular senior first team football." Wigan chairman Ian Lenegan added: "The deal is good for the individual players, for the Wigan club and for Widnes whom we hope to see in Super League in the future. "The dual registrations mean either Shaun or Liam can return intermittently to play for Wigan at any time based upon form or injuries and the rest of the time, like Ben, get senior rugby experience with Widnes."
