Leeds Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington is jetting to Australia on a recruitment mission.
Great Britain loose forward Gareth Ellis is set to depart for leading Australian club Wests Tigers at the end of the season and Hetherington is heading to Sydney to find his replacement.
"Whilst Brian McClennan is very happy with the current squad we do know that we will be losing Gareth for next season and we have some players out of contract," Hetherington told the club's website.
"That means that we have some flexibility with our squad for 2009 and the purpose of this trip will be to identify who is available."
The Rhinos take on the in-form Harlequins next in Super League meanwhile, as they look to bounce back from their shock defeat at Castleford.
