Rugby League: England centre Jack Reed to miss Four Nations with shoulder injury

England have suffered a blow ahead of their Four Nations campaign with Brisbane Broncos centre Jack Reed ruled out by a dislocated shoulder.

The 26-year-old Broncos star has now suffered similar injuries for the last three seasons - missing the 2013 World Cup campaign - and will undergo reconstructive surgery in an attempt to stop the problem recurring.

"He's dislocated his shoulder unfortunately and that's the third year in a row," Brisbane coach Anthony Griffin said.

"He'll probably have to have a reconstruction, which is disappointing for Jack, he's been in really good form."

Reed had scored a try in the game against Melbourne to bring the Broncos back into contention at 12-10 but after he was forced off the field following a heavy challenge at the end of the first half, the Storm pulled clear and won 22-12.
