St Helens hooker James Roby faces a possible suspension after being charged with a dangerous tackle.

The England international has been accused of a grade B offence of making dangerous contact with Catalan Dragons forward Olivier Elima during Saints' 42-0 defeat in Perpignan on Saturday.

Rugby Football League's match-review panel spotted the incident, while Roby's team-mate Alex Walmsley and Catalan hooker Eloi Pelissier were also charged with grade B offences of striking during the game.

The Saints duo have until 11.00am on Tuesday to submit early guilty pleas, but Pelissier will face a hearing in the evening.

Salford stand-off Rangi Chase was also issued with a formal caution for a dangerous tackle during Sunday’s 46-18 win over Bradford Bulls.
