Sky Bet's Jordan Fiddes expects a backlash in tonight's Super League
The World Cup may have started in Brazil this week but there has been a carnival atmosphere in Castleford for months after recent performances in Super League.
They sit pretty in the top three and have a chance to go top if results go their way this weekend.
Tackling Wigan at the DW Stadium is something they are accustomed to having beaten the Warriors there just last weekend in the Tetley's Challenge Cup.
They'll be hoping the return of Justin Carney on the wing will give them added power going forward too and he's among the favourites to open the scoring.
Shaun Wane's men began the week with just a -6 handicap but that has soon come in to -10 after Daryl Powell decided to rest a few of his key men for the repeat fixture.
With no Andy Lynch or Daryl Clark in the side, I fear for the Tigers and the inevitable Wigan backlash.
Hooker Clark is Castleford's top metre maker this season - and in the top ten in all of Super League - so he will be sorely missed.
With a young side and improved conditions expected at the DW tonight, I can see Wigan covering the handicap and if you like your try scorer bets Joe Burgess is more than value at 10/11 to score anytime.
Despite a slow start in terms of tries, the winger's performances have earned him an England call-up - plus he's crossed three times in his last two outings.
Relying on recall
At a similar price to Burgess, Richie Mathers is just as good a price to cross anytime against London tonight.
Playing on the wing or at full-back, he will now get plenty of time with the ball after the Wildcats recruited Tim Smith back from Salford.
In his first stint for Wakefield, he had more try assists than any other player with 19 and he now has a point to prove upon his return.
Mathers has scored a massive six tries in his last three games against the Broncos and was unlucky not to have a try given against Bradford last weekend.
A win for Wakefield this weekend will take them a huge step towards maintaining their Super League status for next season so expect some big games from big players.
Smith and Mathers are two of those having played in Grand Finals in Australia and England respectively so the odds-against price is as good as any.
