Luke Robinson: Backed to help the Giants get off to a good start

The Sky Sports cameras will be heading to the John Smith's Stadium on Friday night to cover Catalan's trip to second placed Huddersfield.

The Dragons have struggled at this venue in Super League, having not won on the West Yorkshire turf since September 2009.

The Giants, on the other hand, have lost only five times this season and beaten the French outfit on 10 occasions since they were accepted into Super League.

Huddersfield have rightly been handed a -12 handicap for this fixture but I have more confidence in the half time market for this one.

At -6 on the 1st half handicap, the Giants will only require one converted try to cover it, something they have done on a regular basis this season.

Since their form slump back in March, the men formally known as Fartown have beaten the half time handicap on seven of their nine games.

They are 10/11 to cover the half time handicap against the Catalans - a team who have a poor record on the road this term.

They have only won three games away from home this year - all against lower league opposition - and have taken a winning lead into the interval just twice on the road in 2013.

The Giants will take confidence from the fact that they have covered the handicap in their last five games and beat the Dragons earlier in the season with just 12 men.

In this fixture last year, Huddersfield ran out with a 36-18 victory and for a similar margin - 11-20 points - they are 21/10.

That may be a bit of a long shot but certainly don't count it out.

Greg Eden: The full-back has scored 11 tries in 11 games this season

Form full-back

Across the Pennines on Friday, Hull KR head to Langtree Park to take on St.Helens.

It's an identical handicap for the Saints with a -12 deficit to overcome, however I'm steering well clear of that with both teams in contrasting form in 2013.

I've picked out an anytime try scorer for this game with Greg Eden 6/4 to cross the whitewash within 80 minutes.

The full-back has had his critics recently but his try scoring record has never been in doubt.

Snubbed by Huddersfield in the off season, Eden has now scored 11 tries in 11 games for the Robins, including an outstanding hat-trick in the South of France last week.

He's also made 61 tackle busts this year and, against a St.Helens side that have conceded over 400 points in 2013, expect him to feature heavily.

The home side have conceded a massive seven tries to the opposing full-back in nine fixtures at Langtree Park and at 6/4 Eden is good value to make it an eighth.

View from the Sky Bet trading room...

"We've seen quite a bit of movement on the handicaps this weekend after numerous bets were placed straight after we released our lines.

"Salford started with a +2 handicap on Thursday, they are now scratch but expect to see them favourites come game day.

"There were plenty of shrewd bets for Wigan at home to Castleford too.

"They began the weekend at -16 but they now receive a -20 start at 10/11."
