Darrell Griffin and Tevita Leo-Latu are among a string of players facing disciplinary action.

Catalans duo also charged in a busy week for the RFL

Huddersfield prop Darrell Griffin and Wakefield hooker Tevita Leo-Latu are among a string of players facing disciplinary action by the Rugby Football League (RFL). Griffin was sent off at the end of the Giants' 20-19 defeat at home to Wigan Warriors on Sunday for verbally abusing a match official. He has been charged with a grade D offence, which carries a ban of between two and five games, and he could get a further two-match ban for raising his knees in the tackle. Wigan prop Stuart Fielden has also been cited for raising his knees in the same game, while skipper Sean O'Loughlin will be warned over his use of the forearm.

Reckless

Leo-Latu has been charged with a reckless high tackle, for which he was dismissed, during the Wildcats' 18-8 defeat at Hull FC on Friday. The charge carries a ban of two to five matches, which means he will definitely miss the visit of Castleford Tigers to Belle Vue and the trip to Perpignan to take on Catalans Dragons. Les Catalans have problems of their own though, as prop Jerome Guisset has been charged with a reckless high tackle on St Helens full-back Paul Wellens. And stand-off Adam Mogg has also been charged with a dangerous tackle during the same game, which saw the French side run out shock 24-10 winners.
