Shaun Wane says Wigan made too many mistakes against Brisbane Broncos

Wigan coach Shaun Wane had no complaints after Brisbane Broncos' extra-time penalty condemned his side to a dramatic 14-12 defeat in the second match of the new World Club Series.
The Warriors trailed 12-6 for most of the second half but struck back to draw level with Joe Burgess' 79th-minute converted try before being sunk by a penalty kicked by Broncos loose forward Corey Parker in the last minute of the first period of extra time.
Wigan could have won it minutes earlier had Matty Smith been on target with a long-range drop goal but Wane felt his players were their own worst enemies.
"I thought we asked for it with our completions," he said. "If we had been smart with the ball, it would never have got to that.
We made some poor decisions and our skills were not what they should have been. I'm proud of the way we defended but it took a lot of juice out of our attack.

With St George Illawarra having beaten Warrington on Friday night, the Broncos' victory sealed the World Club Series for the NRL, although coach Wayne Bennett was unaware of his club's achievement.
"I didn't know it was a series until you just told me," Bennett said in the post-match press conference.
Bennett was also oblivious to the fact that the game could not end in a draw, with Anthony Gelling charging down Parker's first attempt, only to be sin-binned for doing so. Parker made no mistake second time with Gelling watching from the sidelines.
"I didn't know we were playing extra time," he said. "I couldn't believe it. I still don't know what that's all about.
"I've certainly never seen a charge-down. He even got clapped off for it. For the penalty the ref was right on it, I saw the replay, it was a big call."
Wane declined to condemn Gelling for his professional foul.
"He's a weirdo," he said. "If one person was going to do that, it would be him. He does the weirdest things in training. But it showed to me that he wanted to win."
