Martin Dwyer: "I'm pleased with that. I kept finishing second on him and I was due a win on him. I think he's better on fast ground and he did it well. His form was in the book. He didn't perform last time, I don't know why. He might go to Goodwood now."

Candida Baker: "We don't think he was quite himself at Ascot. We've always liked him and he did what he had to do today. Hopefully it will be the Stewards' Cup for him now."
