Verdict

Peter Bowen: "That was very good, he jumped nicely and it was a nice confidence-booster for him ahead of the Summer Plate next week. He's had three runs now and he's quite a tough horse. I know he had a long journey up today, but he hasn't had much of a race. He hasn't come off the bridle, so I'm sure he'll be fine for next week. It was two miles at Newton Abbot last time and a good little race. I thought he'd get away with it, but he didn't. Two and a half miles or two miles and five furlongs suits him better and we look forward to next week now."
