ALSINDI landed something of a morning gamble for the resurgent Clive Brittain yard as the daughter of Acclamation was supported from double figure odds down to an eventual SP of 5-1. Held up off what was a fairly modest pace - she ran on well to be produced a couple of strides ahead of the post. The bookmakers were not quite so impressed as her performance attracted a general 25-1 quote for the 1,000 Guineas.Questing was allowed to set her own pace and kept steadfast to the rail. She had become a little restless in the stalls beforehand but there were few excuses. Nayarra somewhat lets the form down by her prominence. She travelled handily to the pace and came with her challenge with two to travel before petering out close home. She remains a maiden after seven starts. Minidress and Desert Gazelle were held up in touch and both made headway without looking likely winners. They appeal as types for next season rather than this. Emirates Art met with some interference though was not unlucky. Cockney Dancer disappointed having travelled well whilst Frankie Dettori was looking down at Rakasa's legs from a very early juncture and there was clearly something amiss with the Godolphin first string.
