Verdict

SAJWAH has been highly tried since making a winning debut, finishing in midfield in the Albany Stakes and Cherry Hinton, and benefited from this drop in grade. Travelling easily in front for Richard Hills alongside Misty Conquest, she knuckled down really well and deserved this success. She is in the Cheveley Park Stakes but this looks to be her level at present although she could progress next season. Misty Conquest had had a short break since having her seventh race of the season at this level in Longchamp. She was keeping on again at the line and is worth another try at seven although she is pretty exposed and could struggle to pick up a race in this grade. Pimpernel was stepped up in class after winning a seven furlong nursery at Newmarket from a well regarded individual. This was a solid run and she can progress again when stepped back up in trip. The disappointment of the race was Inetrobil who was the highest rated in the race having finished second in the Albany, fourth in the Cherry Hinton and sixth in the Lowther. She was well enough placed throughout the race and it was disappointing she failed to take a hand in the finish, she doesn't appear to be progressing. Dreamwriter was a warm favourite on the back of a Newbury maiden win just over a fortnight previously. She was squeezed out early and always in the wrong place given the way the race developed and short of room in the final furlong when appearing to wander to her right; she was looked after once her chance was gone and is worth another opportunity to prove that this was not her running. Elbe was drawn wide and restrained early to try and get some cover before but she refused to settle and was given her head; she had pulled her chance away last time and will need to learn to drop the bit if she's to progress. Miss Azeeza was lit-up when squeezed out at the start but she was going on at the finish and is worth another chance. Mary Fildes, third in the Listed St Hugh's over five furlongs last time, ran a strange race. She jumped right and then found herself short of room and was switched to the rails where she had to be strongly ridden to try and hold a position. She never looked comfortable at any stage but then made up several lengths in the final furlong to see out the race well.
