Second favourite Life At Ten was expected to take this field along from the one box but never picked up the bit and was soon tailed off in rear having effectively refused to race which allowed Malibu Prayer to take the field along at a steady gallop from Milwaukee Appeal with market leader Blind Luck held up, as expected, at the rear of the main pack. The eventual winner, UNRIVALED BELLE, was buried in the middle of the pack but crucially racing in about fifth ahead of market rivals Blind Luck and Havre De Grace who were both confirmed closers and closely matched on this season's form. Kent Desormeaux made a race winning move when kicking Urivaled Belle into a clear advantage approaching the straight and getting first run on the placed horses. Blind Luck made up a lot of ground from the rear to go further ahead in her head-to-head battle with Havre De Grace but never looked like catching Unrivaled Belle who ran out a clear cut winner.
