Verdict

A majestic performance from DUBAI MAJESTY but disaster for favourite backers as Frankie Dettori's mount, Sara Louise, missed the break badly and could never figure as a result. Another fancied runner, Informed Decision, failed to fire as well resulting in something of a surprise result with Bret Calhoun's mare proving her stamina for this trip in no uncertain terms on a track where she has often run well. Gabby's Golden Gal was the first to show but it was a bunching field in behind with Switch, fourth home Champagne D'Oro and the eventual winner always well placed in the leading group. Secret Gypsy challenged for the lead up the rail but both she and the leader were struggling by the time they turned for home with Dubai Majesty challenging on the outside of the front pair with the middle of the track quickly proving to be the best place to be this evening with the rail runners struggling. The mare put the race to bed in a matter of strides with Switch running on gamely and Evening Jewel making late gains into third.
