Verdict

Typical of one from her stable, MISTY FOR ME has thrived with racing this year and ran out a ready winner of this. She briefly looked in trouble when Helleborine loomed up to challenge a furlong out but was well on top at the finish. She looks Guineas material - quotes of around 6-1 perfectly fair - and interestingly Aidan O'Brien feels she'll get the Oaks trip too, The runner-up lost little in defeat and as this was her first real battle she'll have learned from it. Rainbow Springs ran a cracker in third, franking the form of Frankel who beat her 13 lengths on her Doncaster debut. This was undoubtedly a big step forward but John Gosden feels 10 furlongs will be her trip next season so perhaps the Prix de Diane will be the target. Freddie Head tried to play down expectations for Galikova, a Galileo half-sister to Goldikova, and she got going all too late. She'll also get further and has plenty fo scope to progress in 2011.
