Verdict

GREAT ENDEAVOUR was another prominent winner to come good as Danny Cook drove home David Pipe's second big handicap winner of the day. He jumped well bar one mistake and enjoyed the better ground here. That could be key to him following up in the future off a higher mark. Sunnyhillboy was outpaced and never nearer than at the finish but he stayed on really well. From Dawn To Dusk had dropped to a winning mark and on his favoured ground he performed well, travelling superbly before finding a couple too good up the hill. Again, good conditions are key to him. Mister McGoldrick defied the years with another cracking performance from the front around Cheltenham and he retains all his enthusiasm as a 13-year-old.
