Verdict

NEHAAM did well to win this having looked edgy beforehand. He settled well in the race and showed a lovely, fluent action to take it up inside the final furlong. He was being closed down by Monitor Closely in the dying strides but connectiosn expect the winner to benefit greatly for the outing. He now heads to the Dante. The runner-up was going on strongly at the line and is another who has earned the right to have a tilt at a Classic trial. Rockhampton took a leap forward from his reappearance win at Leopardstown and there will be more to come over a mile-and-a-half too. His stable have bigger guns to fire but he is going the right way. The Miniver Rose was another to thunder home, which augurs well for her Oaks prospects. The eyecatcher of the race was Moneycantbuymelove. He refused to settle for Jamie Spencer but still came home well for fifth. He is still a maiden but looks the sort to make his mark at pattern level as the season progresses.
