Verdict

A big field with the runners spread right across the course. TOTAL IMPACT is nothing if not consistent and a strong run inside the distance saw him cling on in a tight finish from Even Bolder. The winner was middle to stands' side while the runner-up powered up the stands' rail and just failed to nail the prize. Ocean Blaze was more towards the far side and ran well in third having had the overall lead inside the final two furlongs at one stage. Topweight Toms Laughter ran a tremendous race to fill the frame following his victory at Ascot over the weekend.
