Verdict

A hugely convincing success for BLUE SKY BASIN, who pinged the stalls under Franny Norton, got to the front and never looked like relinquishing his lead. It could be argued he was given an easy time but he travelled with tremendous purpose and stretched clear to complete the hat-trick. House was clear of the rest in second place but could never land a serious blow in terms of the winner while Relative Order made great strides from the rear inside the final furlong and finished a creditable third. Fervent Prince also got going late in the day for fourth but Adversity never really got competitive from the mid-division. Fathsta seems to run every week and he performed very well once again in sixth having made up ground on the far rail under Jamie Spencer.
