SANBUCH won for the second successive year at this meeting after he was produced with a sustained run inside the final two furlongs. He is not the most straightforward but has plenty of ability - a strong ride from Ryan Moore and blinkers for the first time galvanised him. Stablemate Bauer challenge wide under Johnny Murtagh and ran a solid trial for the Ebor at York. He could not quite get on terms with the winner but stuck on well in the closing stages. Rajeh remains in great heart and kept on in good style for third having raced prominently, a remark that also applies to fourth-placed Players Please. The unbeaten Milne Graden was held up in last place off an even pace and never looked like landing a blow. He was not best placed in a wide pitch turning for home as Tom Queally angled him back towards the inner. He did pick up some places late in the day but was no threat. Formax probably ran better than his finishing positions suggests. He too was held up well in rear and was making some stealthy headway up the far rail on the bridle before having his run checked. He could not really pick up again but may still pick up another staying race before the season is done. Black Rock was right in the thick of the action inside the final furlong but broke down badly just short of the winning line.
