Verdict

A strong pace was set by Classic Blade in this July Stakes who in the end made all to give all his connections a first Group winner. The second Sayif travelled well throughout and looked a danger in the final furlong. But the winner loved the ground and found that little extra when needed. The favourite Prolific was held up towards the rear early on and never looked dangerous. He stayed on one paced and may be better on a sounder surface.
