Verdict

This was always to going to be a competitive affair, but Jedediah who had run well at Royal Ascot the time before and who was stepping up in trip, went on to win nicely under his promising apprentice David Probert. He was held up in midfield throughout and came to the fore travelling well a furlong from home. Steele Tango was another close to the pace throughout and stayed on well to grab second, while Love Galore did the same back in third. If this race was run half a dozen times you would get a different result each time but the winner has definitely got another big handicap in him this season somewhere.
