Steve Drowne got SUPASEUS out smartly from the stalls and he remained in front, always holding his rivals up the straight. In the end he won a shade cosily. Runner-up Many Volumes managed to get off the inside rail and throw down a challenge inside the final furlong but never really looked like getting past the winner. Walter Swinburn's horses are running tremendously at the moment and his Pinpoint was only just pipped for second while Buccellati is coming to hand nicely this season and finished a close-up fourth. Favourite Monte Alto was always caught out wide in the rear division and made his challenge wide under Johnny Murtagh. He threatened to get involved at one stage but his run rather petered out to be fair. Epsom winner Emirates Skyline seems best fresh, is not the most consistent and was disappointing.
