This was Ryan Moore at his best. The former champion jockey was patient - holding his nerve until the pacemaker ran out of steam inside the final furlong; then pressing CONDUIT into action as they bore down on the line. The son of Dalakhani quickly assumed control, belying his relative inexperience to stretch away nicely when he hit the front; coasting on to an easy six-length success. He looks a ready for a step up in grade and Sir Michael Stoute will no doubt have an interesting campaign planned out for him from here. Ramona Chase got the trip well enough but was no match for the winner while First Avenue took this step up in class in his stride and can continue to pay his way on the evidence of today's performance.
