A wide open finale to solve here and Wovoka is no more than a speculative selection. David Barker's charge reverts to seven furlongs here after been campaigned over eight on his last three starts. Esoterica beat Wovoka last time and Gary Bartley's 5lb claim helps offset the hike in the ratings for Jim Goldie's charge. A different type of headgear is used today on Esoterica who is not certain to be suited by the drop back to seven furlongs. Violent Velocity is another old rival of Esoterica and is the type that can be taken to run his race under a very capable young rider. Hiccups is another to form lines with some of today's rivals but is not the most straight forward of characters while Yankee Storm is interesting stepping up to seven furlongs. Wovoka is the pick to land the finale.
