Bahamian Ceilidh showed very good speed when finishing second behind the Mick Channon trained Alphabeth last time at Nottingham, setting the race up for Alphabeth in the process but back on a sounder surface and with Dettori booked, all things look set for a big effort over this easy five furlongs. Alphabeth has been beaten twice since but had a valid excuse last time. La Brigette was a comfortable winner of a Haydock nursery on her last appearence. Her wins have been achieved in heavy going and on the fibresand which would lead you to believe she possibly has a preference for some 'give'. Top-weight Mazzola makes his eight racecourse start here but might just find the five furlongs here on the sharp side while Spring Tale is another that could be vulnerable over this trip. Mark Wallace's filly finished mid-division in the Weatherby's Super Sprint at Newbury last Saturday where she was on the pace early on but faded inside the closing stages. Bahamian Ceilidh is given the vote to land the opener.
