Verdict

The smallest field of the evening and a trappy look to the race where PISTE is just preferred to Lenny Bee. The selection took a Windsor handicap over this trip last time and has been given a 4lb rise since. She is unproven on softer ground but her sire Falbrav handled it very well and so there is an element of confidence that she can do the same. Now that she knows what it takes to win we will side with her to follow up. Lenny Bee has hit the frame from four of his five starts since taking a Kempton maiden in April. He also needs to prove he handles cut, but his sire Kyllachy did and connections will hope for the same. Secret Venue has been well placed by Jedd O'Keefe to notch up a hat-trick, all at Musselburgh, but the ground may well be against him as he tries to make it a four-timer. The same comment applies to Mister Laurel, whose previous attempts on softer going have been abortive. Dispol Grand won't mind some juice underfoot but will probably be hampered by his current mark and we hope to enjoy a drink or two courtesy of Piste.
