Verdict

FATHSTA is given the vote to supplement his victory in the Coral Sprint Handicap on soft ground over the C&D in October despite being drawn on the opposite side of the track. Dave Simcock's charge is on the same mark today and showed his well-being with a cracking run over 7f at Newmarket last time where he just failed to last out the trip. Hoof It loves this fast track as he showed on his return to action in May. He wasn't quite at his best in the Wokingham last time but back on his favourite terrain looks certain to be involved in the finish. The progressive Entitled won here in May and missed the break on her only subsequent start at Pontefract though an 8lb rise in the weights won't have aided her cause. Ginger Ted loves a bit of cut in the ground and can go well while David O'Meara has had a superb season and his Roker Park is on the short-list as he's won a similar handicap on soft going from this kind of mark in the past.
