Previous results

In depth

Formwatch

Moon Solitaire (IRE) Very tough and looked set for a good season when taking a decent Handicap at Newmarket back in May and a return to that form would see him go close.

Catchy Word Best effort this term came here, when a close up third behind Ferzao in a valuable Handicap back in May, ( reversed the form with the winner next time at Windsor ) but seems to have lost his way of late and looks held by his stable-mate, Catchy Word.

Vintage Premium Won over this trip at Doncaster last year but has also gone well at this track, looks to be his stable's first string and should give a good account of himself.

Gold Academy (IRE) Not the most consistent of performers and is on a long losing run and recent efforts have not suggested that will change here.

The Whistling Teal Mainly in good form this term but looks to have a little to find with Vintage Premium judged on their recent meetings.

Saratov Basically disappointing since winning over course and distance on his reappearance back in May, but is highly rated by his trainer and it would not be the biggest of shocks to see him return to form now he returns here.

Prize Winner Has not won since his debut at Doncaster back in March but has shaped as if a return to form in imminent in his last couple of outings, one to consider.

Worthily (USA) Yet to win this term but takes a slight drop in grade here and looks set to give a good account of himself.

Ferzao (IRE) Very consistent type and and is only 4lb higher than when he won here back in May, one to consider; the assistance of Kieren Fallon is also a big plus.

J R Stevenson (USA) Steps back up in trip here and this more conventional track may not bring the best out of him.

Canford (IRE) Underfoot conditions should suit and gets the trip well but may find a few too good here.

Compton Aviator Only win came in a seven furlong Claiming Stakes event at Lingfield last year and on balance doesn't look good enough to figure here.

Canada Returned to form when tacking a decent prize over course and distance back in June, and looks well treated on that run. However even though he obviously holds ability he is beginning to look a shade inconsistent and others may hold stronger claims.

Lagudin (IRE) Hails from a stable in-form but has met trouble in running in his last couple of outings and although his pedigree would suggest this trip should suit, he still has to prove he stays the extra couple of furlongs.

Albuhera (IRE) Bounced back from a gelding operation to take a fair prize at Newmarket last month but is not one to rely on to repeat that effort on a track where he has disappointed in the past.

Houseparty (IRE) Getting his act together well now after a gritty display at Haydock last time and should be a major factor here.

Port Moresby (IRE) Mopped up in lesser grade events of late but this looks much tougher and may have to settle for a minor role.

Jokesmith (IRE) Open to improvement but may have to wait a little longer to add to his tally.

Elsaamri (USA) Looks a useful stayer in the making but this step back in trip is not sure to suit and also has the worst of the draw to overcome.
