Verdict

Yorkshire racegoers love to see top-class horses and they don't come any better than the brilliant Oaks and King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner TAGHROODA. John Gosden's filly is in a different league to these rivals and she should have a nice prep-race before heading to the Champion Stakes. Tapestry finished runner-up to stablemate Bracelet in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh though that form in no way equates with the Epsom version, while another from Ballydoyle, Venus De Milo, is a consistent performer though probably not up to Group 1 level. Volume was a close third in the Curragh classic and had been beaten almost 4l at Epsom but she's a progressive filly who can reward each-way support.
