Verdict

Yaa Wayl won this as a three-year-old when trained by Michael Jarvis but has been mainly disappointing for Godolphin and didn't please everyone when landing a minor event at Newbury in June. REGAL PARADE was in brilliant form at this time a year ago landing the Group 1 Prix Maurice De Gheest on soft ground at Deauville. He's been confined to 6f on his last three starts but things are in his favour here and he'll take some beating. This has been a good race for William Haggas in the past so the very lightly-raced Dafeef is one to consider on his return from a long break and he'll enjoy any cut in the ground. Dream Eater dead-heated with Confront in this two years ago and all three of his career victories have been at this trip. He ran poorly on his first start over 1m2f at Chester last time but looks certain to do much better here. King Torus makes a belated return to action after a moderate effort in the Group 1 Grand Criterium on soft ground at Longchamp in October. His two Group 2 victories earlier had come on very fast going so conditions don't look in his favour.
