A decent renewal of this stepping stone to next month's St Leger and a race that has seen just two of the last 10 favourites oblige. Whether or not he heads the market, MIDAS TOUCH will take plenty of beating. Aidan O'Brien's colt found his feet over this trip in the Irish Derby last time when just seen off by Cape Blanco. He handles cut and should be versatile as far as tactics go, which is an advantage, and he can confirm Curragh placings with King Edward II winner Monterosso. Rewilding acts on any ground and goes well fresh, so he will appreciate the break since Epsom and should be heavily involved, while if there is to be another surprise in the race it could come from Total Command, who will appreciate a decent pace and if he gets it, will be doing all of his best work late on.
