Peopleton Brook has been very consistent and can land the finale at the expense of Sharplaw Star, with Bigalos Bandit, Hornpipe and Mimi Mouse others to note. Peopleton Brook has found one too good on each of his last three outings, but was badly drawn at Thirsk the time before last when chasing home Niteowl Lad, and was only beaten in a photo by the same horse at Windsor two days ago. Milton Bradley's charge is knocking at the door and off his light weight has every chance of going one better. Sharplaw Star showed she was on the way back when second at Newmarket on what was only her second outing of the campaign and she should make her presence felt, even though she is a bit high in the handicap at present after her juvenile exploits. Bigalos Bandit may find conditions too lively here and has topweight to overcome, while Hornpipe only beat one home in a competitive handicap at Newmarket last time but had won there earlier. The locals will be cheering on Mimi Mouse, but she is not certain to maintain earlier Thirsk form over Bigalos Bandit on these terms, and we look to Peopleton Brook to gain due reward for some good efforts.
