In depth

Verdict

Having won four of his last five starts it's difficult to ignore Lordofthehouse, who goes on any ground and will be staying on here when others have cried enough. Bridle Belle wasn't beaten far over 1m4f here last time and is back on a winning mark while Local Hero has done nothing wrong since returning to the Flat, though is now 5lb higher than when second to Grumeti at Ascot. Deauville Flyer normally does well here and Merchant Of Dubai will like the ground while Hurricane Higgins and Constant Contact can't be ignored but QAHRIMAN caught the eye on his reappearance at Chester, where he didn't enjoy much luck in running. He's only raced six times and can improve again to land this.
