Verdict

It's difficult to make a strong case for any of these. Baan's seven length defeat in soft ground at Warwick last time is the closest any have come to winning of late but the token vote goes to DARSAN. She scored over a shorter trip here back in May and is now 3lb lower. Sommersturm is 6lb higher than January's win on the all-weather but Royal Defence has slipped down the weights since finishing runner-up at Brighton in June and the veteran Dunaskin is best on the Fibresand nowadays.
