    Verdict

THOMAS BAINES looked particularly unlucky not to get much closer last time and is taken to score here with Tiradito and Misheer both interesting debutants. The Michael Bell-trained selection travelled well at Windsor earlier in the month before being unable to find the necessary daylight from the two furlong pole, and finishing on the bridle. There is surely more to come and in a weak race he is given the nod. Tiradito is a US bred colt related to winners at trips between this and 9f and represents a yard that is not red hot at the moment. In view of that, unless the market speaks positively, it may be better to watch him for today. Misheer is perhaps more likely to figure prominently when racing at two, being related to winners at that age and over sprint trips. Fast ground would be no problem for her and she might give the selection most to do. The other runners all represent yards not noted for their juveniles, although money for either of the Christine Dunnet runners would make them interesting each way, although we prefer Thomas Baines.
