CHARLIE'S STAR was beaten 7l on her Kempton debut but did very much better in what looked a strong Newbury maiden won by Kasb. She should improve again and will take some beating. The others with experience have shown little though Lunar Knot may not have been suited by Fibresand so it's likely to be a newcomer who poses the main threat with Thumper, who is by the sprinter Namid out of a winning miler, fits the bill. Madamoiselle Bond also has plenty of pace in her pedigree being out of a two-year-old winner.
